Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are your prices so much lower than anyone else?

A: There are several reasons why DuneSport can offer quality-built Toy Haulers at MUCH lower than the competition...here are just a few reasons:

  1. Inventory - we do not brag about carrying "HUNDREDS OF MODELS TO CHOOSE FROM" - instead, we try to keep a limited selection to keep our costs down. Plus, we specialize ONLY in Toy Haulers. And when you want something we don't have in stock, we can order it for you and have it delivered to you in just a few weeks!
  2. Volume - Thanks to our competitive pricing and quality, DuneSport focuses on selling a higher amount of Toy Haulers, without sacrificing quality and service. We do not sell anyother kind of RV - just Toy Haulers!
  3. Low Overhead - We do not have a big, fancy lot with lots of high-priced inventory and big expenses to pay. We are simply a family-run business. Plus, none of our salespeople are on commission!
  4. Personalized Service - We do not have an army of high-pressure salespeople, just a friendly and personal atmosphere! We are here before, and afer the sale - by email, phone, online chat, or at our Mesa, Arizona location.
  5. Experience - We are Toy-Hauler people...just like you! We do not claim to be experts in the RV industry, but rather specialize in Toy Haulers only.

Q: What kind of service and manufacturers warranty come with your Toy Haulers?

A: Most of our Toy Haulers comes with a 2-3 year warranty on the applicances, and a 1 year general warranty on most everything else. All warranties are covered by their individual manufacturers. DuneSport is authorized to perform almost all manufacturer's service work - but most of the warranty work can also be performed by a manufacturer's authorized dealers and RV Service Shops around the US and Canada! As well, we offer 5-year extended warranties on all of our Toy Haulers.

Q: How is the quality on these trailers?

A: Don't let our low pricing confuse you - we do NOT sell cheaply-built or poor-quality trailers. All of our trailers are built to ANSII and Radco codes and standards, and are built in our small factory in Riverside, California. Every trailer is thoroughly tested before being shipped. Then, each trailer is pulled to our Arizona location. After this "road test", the trailer is then fully tested again.

We also use only the finest parts in our trailers. For example, sine Toy Haulers comes with a one-piece spill-proof linoleum floor, name-brand top-of-the-line appliances, and real wood cabinets. As well, we do not cut any corners. Each trailer comes standard with up to 10 tie-down anchors, secured to the chassis for securing your quads and bikes.

Q: Can you ship my Toy Hauler to me?

A: YES! We have shipped trailers all over the country. We also have many shipping specials depending on where you live - just ask an associate for details.

Q: Where are you located? Where are your trailers built?

A: Our factory is located near Riverside in the town of Hemet in southern California. Dune Sport's headquarters is located in Mesa - just east of Phoenix, AZ.

Q: Where is the closest dealer to me?

A: We do not have dealerships located across the country. Instead, we ship everything directly to your home. That way you are able to get factory-direct pricing and front-door service. We have shipped all across the United States and Canada - from Alaska to Florida!

Q: What else will I need in order to tow my toy hauler?

A: Dune Sport strongly recommend you speak with your local vehicle dealer for specifics. Generally, most vehicles need a "7-way round" plug on the back of their towing vehicle in order to connect to the lights and brakes on the Toy Hauler. As well, you will need a hitch rated to tow the Gross weight of your new trailer. In order to use the built-in braking axles on the toy hauler, you will need to have Dune Sport or a local shop install a Trailer Brake Controller. This controller is mounted inside your vehicle and typically sits under your dash near your right knee-cap. This syncs the brakes on your vehicle with the brakes on your trailer, ensuring the safest stop possible. As well, Dune Sport highly recommends a "weight-distributing hitch" (also referred to as "equalizer hitch" or "stabilizer hitch") despite the tow vehicle or trailer. This helps to level the truck for towing by distributing the tongue weight of the trailer across the entire tow vehicle. Also, Dune Sport recommends a sway-controller to be added to the hitch. This acts as a "brake" and helps prevent "fishtailing" of the trailer - especially useful in windy or highway conditions.

Q: Do you take trade-ins?

A: Yes, we do! While we only sell brand-new toy haulers, we are able to find aggressive buyers for your trade-in. As well, when you trade-in your existing RV, many states offer discounted sales tax options.

Q: Can extra tie-downs be added to your Toy Haulers?

A: YES! We can also install them for you. Dune Sport also installs all toy hauler tie-downs so they are secured into the frame/supports that run beneath the floor.

Q: Can you get a screen wall or room for my Toy Hauler?

A: YES! We typically keep most screen walls in stock. You can view prices and what we have available here. We can either ship it to you, or you can have it installed onto your trailer for FREE by one of our Dune Sport technicians.

Screen rooms are also available for the rear ramp door and also the awning / porch, but due to the the vast variations of sizes, are available only as a special order. Just ask a Dune Sport representative for details.

Q: What is the rating of insulation? How do your trailers handle the colder weather?

A: All walls and ceilings are typically insulated with a rating of R-13. We have sold trailers to many extremely cold-weather environments such as Alaska, Canada, and the northern/mountain states of the US. Check out our testimonials to find out how customers have reported how well they hold up in the colder weather!

Q: How long does it take for my custom trailer to be built?

A: Our toy haulers typically take only 1-3 days to be completely built! However, depending on how many orders may be ahead of yours, typical lead time is 3-8 weeks. That also gives us plenty of time to order all parts and ensure your trailer is built to the highest quality of standards and without cutting any corners at all.

Q: Can I order my Toy Hauler with customized decals?

A: YES! By special order, we can get you almost any colors of decals for your toy hauler. Click here to view all of the available colors.

Q: What fabric / upholstery colors are available?

A: Typically, we use one main color for all of our toy haulers. However, depending on what is currently available, we may have other options to choose from. Click here to view all of the fabric samples. Be sure to check with a Dune Sport associate for availability.

Q: Do you build Handicap-Accessible Toy Haulers?

A: Yes we do! Click here for more information and pricing.

Q: What is the smallest toy hauler you can build with the rear pull-down bed?

A: The 15' is the smallest toy hauler with the rear bed. The reason for this, is the 15' is the smallest with the "pitched" or raised roof in the rear - ultimately where the rear bed "hides" or "tucks" into the ceiling. The 14' has a flat roof, so the rear bed is not available in this size.

Q: What is the smallest toy hauler you can build with a front bedroom?

A: Currently, the 20' is the smallest toy hauler we know of that even has a front bedroom! This is due to our unique floorplan with a front "corner" bedroom. By cutting off a small corner of the bed, we put the front bed and the bathroom in the front of the trailer - while still allowing plenty of room in the rear for cargo. Check out the 20' and 21' models on our current inventory.
