“They totally delivered on all their promises and our expectations!”

We drove 1800 miles from Georgia out to Mesa to pick up our 22’ Accessible Bumper Pull in mid-May 2019 and couldn’t be happier! Rodney, Brad and the entire Dune Sport team worked patiently with us to address all our special requirements to ensure that our rig would work for us. After flying out for an on-site visit, we were convinced that Dune Sport was able to build exactly what we wanted and together we made several design changes (and added some upgrades) that we hadn’t even thought of.

We were a bit nervous on our return trip (15 nights out) as it had been 25 years since we owned an RV trailer…when we were much younger and did not have physical/mobility issues. The low-profile stance, MorRyde steps, exterior handles, large h/c shower with pull down seat, grab bars and wide doors make it very functional for us. Their recommendation for the tow/sway bar system works great and is easy for us to manage and the electric tongue jack/leveling system is nothing short of AMAZING! The full-length electric awning is just another item that makes set-up and tear-down a breeze.

Thanks to Dune Sport we are once again able to travel in comfort and style!

“Handicap accessible!”

Colleen was diagnosed with SCA (Spinocerebellar Ataxia) in 2007. SCA is an atrophying of the cerebellum. It affects speech, eye sight, hearing, many muscle and motor functions. Today she needs help with many functions of daily living. She needs assistance 24/7. We don’t know what the future holds, but what we do know is both her and her father passed from the disease.

When we contacted you, her SCA had progressed to a point where she had to retire from work. I had a job working from home where I was able to take care of her, but something was missing. We received a letter from a realtor asking if we would be willing to sell our home. I said to Colleen half jokingly “Why don’t we sell everything and just travel”? She shot me a smile that usually means what I just said was a boneheaded idea. By this time she was non-verbal. A few days later she sent me a text message with handicap accessible RV’s. I asked her if she was serious. Her face lit up and we were off to the races. Two weeks later we placed the order with you for our rig. As you can remember we ordered it based on pictures you emailed me. It did not strike me until after we were in our rig for about a month that things could have turned out really bad with this approach. However we did not have time to really plan this thing out. We knew her condition is progressing and we had to act.

This was the year we had to travel. If we waited we knew we would probably miss our opportunity. We ended up hitting 33 states traveling over 10,000 miles. We experienced some wonderful places and met some amazing people. Never could we imagine this would have been possible a few years ago.

By building rigs like this, you are doing much more than just building trailers for recreational use. You are helping people like us enjoy a life we never knew was possible. Please share this with your team so they know how much they are appreciated and what kind of an impact they have had on our lives.
